Open Day Sessions 2026 for 2027/2028 admissions
We warmly welcome any prospective parent/carer thinking of joining Holy Ghost Primary School to an Open Day session.We shall be hosting three Open Day sessions for 2027/2028 admissions. There will be a presentation by our Executive Head / Head of School followed by a tour of the school by our Year 6 pupils.

If you would like to register your interest in attending an Open Morning session, please complete the Google form by clicking here. Please note that to ensure effective safeguarding we will only be able to admit parents / carers who have registered in advance.

We are very pleased that you are considering Holy Ghost Primary School for your child.
Holy Ghost is a Voluntary Aided Catholic Primary School. The Governing Body is the admissions authority for the school and applications are considered in accordance with our published Admissions Policy.
Reception Class Admissions - September 2027/2028 entry
Parents and carers wishing to apply for a Reception place for the 2027–2028 academic year must apply through their home Local Authority.
As a Catholic faith school, we also require additional documentation to support your application. All applicants must complete our Admissions Form and, if applying under the Catholic faith category, provide a Certificate of Catholic Practice.
1. E-Line application - Please apply for a place for your child online, via the Borough in which you live. If you are a Wandsworth resident then you may apply online at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/admissions.

2. Certificate of Catholic Practice - If you are applying under the Faith criteria, please ensure you make an appointment to see your Parish Priest where you usually attend, to complete a Certificate of Catholic Practise.
The Certificate of Catholic Practise is available from the school office if required.
3. Admissions Form - For all applications we require a completed Admissions Form.
Submission Dates
For children starting Reception in September 2027, applications open on 1 November 2026 and the national closing date is 15 January 2027. Offers will be made by Local Authorities on 16 April 2027.
All applications received shall be ranked according to the Holy Ghost Admissions Policy 2027-2028.

The Primary Schools Admissions Appeals Timetable for 2027-2028 applications has yet to be published but the below timetable shows the dates for the 2026-2027 academic year.

In Year Admissions Year 1-Year 6 for 2026-2027 entry
We sometimes have vacancies in other years across the school (Year 1 to Year 6). To apply for an in-year admission for 2026-2027:
- Complete and return an Admissions Form to join our waiting list.
- If you wish to be considered under the faith criteria, please ensure you make an appointment to see your Parish Priest where you usually attend, to complete a Certificate of Catholic Practise.
